Sigtryggur Baldvinsson og Tinna Gunnarsdóttir

Sounds from the Fjord – Colors from Bach” is a joint exhibition by visual artist Sigtryggur Bjarni Baldvinsson and product designer Tinna Gunnarsdóttir. Both artists explore rhythm, color, and form through distinct media and inspiration. Tinna’s video works capture the heartbeat and pulse of the Héðinsfjörður landscape, forming part of her doctoral research project, 'Touching Landscape,' at the University of Iceland. Sigtryggur presents a three-dimensional painting that seeks to render the colors of Bach’s 6th Cello Suite into a visual experience. The piece emerges from his experimental color theory coursework at the Reykjavík School of Visual Arts, created in collaboration with cellist Ólöf Sigursveinsdóttir.
